Old Federal Reserve Bank Building

Add to plan Remove from plan

Another great example of the Neo-Classical style that dominated government buildings in the early decades of the 20th century. The Old Federal Reserve Bank building is one of the best examples of the work of Jacksonville’s first woman architect, Henrietta C. Dozier, who assisted in its design. The building has two-story arched windows and monumental columns. Step back and look up to admire the balustrade and copper eaves.

Jacksonville’s branch of the Federal Reserve received its charter in 1918, and this building was its first permanent home. Today, its occupants include professional offices.
